What pages does a business website need?
Quick answer
At minimum, a business website needs five pages: Home, About, Services or Products, Contact, and a clear call-to-action or enquiry page. Most also benefit from a blog, testimonials or case studies, and an FAQ. In India it's wise — and for e-commerce effectively required — to add Privacy Policy and Terms pages, plus pricing or booking pages where they help customers decide.
The core of almost every business site is five pages. Home orients visitors and routes them onward; About builds trust with your story and team; Services or Products explains what you offer; Contact makes it easy to reach you, ideally with a form, phone number, and map; and a clear enquiry or call-to-action page turns interest into leads. Everything else supports these.
Depending on your business, several add-ons earn their place: a blog or resources section for SEO and credibility, testimonials or case studies as proof, and an FAQ to answer common objections before they become blockers. In India it's also sensible — and for any site that sells online effectively required — to publish Privacy Policy and Terms pages, plus Refund and Shipping policies for e-commerce.
Resist adding pages for their own sake. A focused site where every page has a clear job converts better than a sprawling one. Start with the essentials, then add pages only when you have real content and a genuine reason for each, rather than to look bigger than you are.
