Our Process
Six Stages, Zero Shortcuts

Design & Sketching
Every Auréa piece begins as a pencil sketch in our design studio — proportions are studied, dimensions refined, and the emotional weight of each piece deliberated before a single gram of metal is touched.

Wax Modelling
A wax model is hand-carved by our artisans, then reviewed against the original sketch under magnification. This stage determines how light will interact with every surface and facet.

Casting & Fabrication
Gold or platinum is cast using the lost-wax process — centuries-old, still the finest method for capturing the fidelity of a hand-carved form. The raw casting is then filed, shaped, and refined.

Stone Setting
Our setters work under 10× magnification, placing each stone precisely and securing it with prongs, bezels, or pavé — depending on the design language of the collection.

Polishing & Finishing
A multi-stage polishing process brings out the reflective depth of the metal. High-polish, satin, and matte finishes are applied by hand — some pieces receiving over three hours of finishing.

Quality & Certification
Every piece is examined by our quality team and third-party gemologists before being certified, hallmarked, and placed in its Auréa presentation.

950 Platinum
The rarest precious metal, 30 times rarer than gold. Its natural white lustre never fades, develops a patina that many prefer over polishing, and holds stones with uncommon security.

The gold of Indian jewellery tradition — 91.6% pure, with a warmth and malleability that allows our kaarigar artisans to achieve impossible hand-formed shapes.

The sweet spot of fine jewellery — 75% pure gold alloyed for strength, available in yellow, white, and rose variants. Ideal for stone-set pieces requiring structural integrity.

Every diamond we use is accompanied by a Kimberley Process certificate. We additionally prefer laboratory-verified stones from ethical mining operations in Canada and Botswana.
