Director of Music & Senior Piano Faculty

A graduate of the Royal College of Music, London, Ananya has performed at Wigmore Hall, the Barbican, and across major Indian concert halls. She brings 18 years of performance and pedagogy experience to Cadence, shaping its distinctive approach to Western classical training in an Indian context.

Rajan Mehta

Head of Strings

Rajan trained with Menuhin's protégés in London before returning to India to pioneer violin education that bridges Western and Carnatic traditions. He performs with the Symphony Orchestra of India and mentors students for conservatory auditions globally.

Head of Voice & Vocal Arts

Priya's voice has graced concert stages from Bengaluru to Berlin. She holds degrees in Western operatic soprano and has also trained in Hindustani classical under Pt. Rajan Sajan Mishra's lineage. Her vocal programme blends European technique with deep Indian roots.

How We Teach

The Cadence

Our faculty do not follow a single rigid method. Instead, they draw from a toolkit of approaches - Suzuki, traditional Western classical pedagogy, Orff, and contemporary techniques - adapting to each student's learning style, personality, and musical goals.

Repertoire-led learning

Students learn technique through pieces they love, not dry exercises divorced from musical context.

Ear before notation

We develop musical hearing first. Reading and notation follow from a foundation of listening and imitation.

Goal-structured progression

Each student has a learning roadmap - with clear milestones, examination timelines, and performance targets.
